Welcome

Welcome to Operation Healthy Pets low cost spay/neuter information page. When filling out the application you are agreeing to prepay for your clinic with either Venmo, PayPal or Credit Card.

~~~VERY IMPORTANT~~~
YOU MUST PUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON THE APPLICATION!! THAT IS THE ONLY WAY WE CONTACT YOU.
APPLICATION: When filling out the application please answer all of the questions. We only ask because we need the information in order to coordinate the clinic properly. You must provide your name, address and phone number.
DOG OWNERS: We need to know what breed your dog closely resembles. Mixed is not a breed but for example Pit mix or Chihuahua mix are acceptable answers.
PAYMENT: Please put your pet's name and your assigned clinic date in the notes section of your payment.
Applications that are not filled out properly get put in the "get to it later" file. OHP is run by volunteers, so we have limited time to play detective.
Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach us at Operationhealthypets@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Pets must be four months of age. Cats must weigh over two pounds and dogs over four pounds. Males must have their testicles dropped or there is an additional fee of $30 to $80.
No. This is a same day procedure. Dop off and pickup are on the same day.
If you cancel or no-show, there will be a $30 fee for each pet. The clinic spots are extremely limited and are not to be considered disposable. The vet service only gives us so many spots per month. Please cherish them like we do in our journey to control the pet population.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. We recommend all owners purchase a cone or surgery recovery suit before their pet comes to clinic. Cones are available at Tractor Supply and cones/suits are available at Country Max or online.
Rabies and Distemper only. All surgery prices include the rabies and distemper vaccine for no additional fee. If your pet is current on its rabies, you must text proof (rabies certificate) to our number when we contact you for scheduling.
Currently we have a waiting list, and we will text you when there is an opening. We try to fill the following months clinic as soon as we are assigned our surgery dates. So, the end of each month is when we are making most of the appointments for the following month.
Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely!! OHP uses a vet service that employs the vets and vet techs. OHP rents the surgery building and coordinates the clinics according to the vet services requirements. Think of the clinic as a co-op. The low-cost clinic is only available because everyone in the group paid for their share of the clinic.
Dog breeds like Pugs, French or English Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Boxers, Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos and Pekingese are prone to breathing difficulties. Before we can schedule these dog breeds we must get approval from the vet service. The vet service will then contact the dog owner to inform them of the risks associated with anesthesia. When the dog is at clinic it's assigned an additional handler to monitor its breathing after surgery. The vet may also opt to give IV fluids to the dog. These are precautionary procedures to ensure a positive outcome.
No. Applying and paying immediately is appreciated but you still have to wait for a clinic opening for female dogs, male dogs and female cats. The clinics are usually booked full a month or more out. We will text you when we have availability. The exception being male cats. Male cats can get into clinic quicker because there's no waiting list. That is why they are posted under available cat dates. When you do send payment you must put the pet's name in the notes.
